Style Studio Closet Privacy Policy

How Style Studio Closet handles wardrobe, photo, purchase, and optional AI feature data.

Style Studio Closet is designed as a personal wardrobe and outfit-planning app. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app uses and how it is handled.

Style Studio Closet may store the following information locally on your device:

AI Features

Some optional AI features may send selected images and related item details to a backend service in order to remove or improve a clothing photo background, classify clothing items, suggest metadata, suggest outfits or styling ideas, or generate try-on related results.

AI requests are only made when you use an AI-powered feature. Before Style Studio Closet sends personal data for these features, the app asks for your permission. Without your consent, personal data is not sent for AI processing. You can decline and continue using the app's non-AI wardrobe features.

The consent screen explains that selected clothing photos, full-body reference photos that may include your face and body, outfit details, style profile context, Style World interests, generic missing-piece suggestions, subscription status, and an installation identifier may be sent to the Style Studio backend hosted by Supabase. Depending on the feature, the backend may forward only the data needed for that request to OpenAI and, where configured, PhotoRoom, FASHN, or Fitroom to classify clothing, clean photos, suggest outfits, prepare reference photos, or generate try-on images.

These service providers process data only to provide the requested feature under their applicable data-protection terms. Style Studio Closet does not sell this data, use it for advertising or tracking, publish it in community features, or use it to train AI models.

Style Studio Closet may send privacy-minimized Content Library matching signals after consent. These can include normalized garment category, generic piece family, match status, confidence, app and library version, locale, and an installation identifier. They do not include photos, item names, brands, notes, raw user-entered text, or the full contents of your wardrobe.

For AI outfit-styling requests, Style Studio Closet may temporarily retain diagnostic snapshots for support and reliability review. These can include the request context, the wardrobe metadata included in the request, AI criteria and response details, status, usage information, and a support identifier. They are not public and are deleted automatically after a short retention period, currently about one hour.

Face Data and Reference Photos

Style Studio Closet does not collect face geometry, face templates, face embeddings, facial landmarks, face-recognition identifiers, or biometric identifiers.

If you choose to add a full-body reference photo or style selfie, the image may include your face and body. The app uses these photos only for wardrobe personalization, optional reference-photo preparation, and optional AI try-on generation. It does not use reference photos to identify or authenticate you, track you across apps or websites, or train AI models.

Reference photos saved in the app remain on your device until you delete them or delete the app. If you enable iCloud synchronization, they may also be stored in your private iCloud account until you delete them through the app or your iCloud data.

For asynchronous AI try-on generation, the selected reference photo and clothing images may be uploaded temporarily to private backend storage hosted by Supabase so the request can continue processing. The selected data may be forwarded to OpenAI and, where configured, FASHN or Fitroom to provide the requested result. Temporary input files are deleted after the job succeeds or fails. Generated try-on results and job status records are deleted automatically no later than 24 hours after processing. These files are not public.

Purchases

Style Studio Closet uses Apple StoreKit for in-app purchases and subscription status. Apple processes purchases directly. Style Studio Closet does not receive or store your full payment information.

Camera and Photo Library

Style Studio Closet may request access to your camera or photo library so you can add clothing items or reference photos. Photos are used for the feature you select. Optional AI processing, iCloud synchronization, and user-initiated exports or sharing can transfer selected images as described in this policy. For TikTok sharing, the app requests permission to add the generated export images to your photo library; this does not give Style Studio Closet permission to read your entire photo library.

Optional Sharing and TikTok

Sharing is optional and starts only when you choose an export or share action. A shared look can include your selected clothing images, a try-on image that may show your face and body, and text visible in the export. Review the preview before sending it to another app.

For direct TikTok sharing, Style Studio Closet uses TikTok Share Kit for iOS. With your photo-library permission, it creates export images in Photos and passes their local asset identifiers to TikTok so TikTok can open the selected images in the intended order. The handoff also uses our app’s client identifier and callback address. You can review, edit, and choose whether to publish in TikTok. Style Studio Closet does not automatically publish a post.

This integration does not use TikTok Login Kit, request TikTok account-data scopes, or retrieve your TikTok profile or videos. It does not send your entire wardrobe to TikTok. The selected export is handed to the TikTok app; it is not uploaded to our AI backend for the sharing operation.

TikTok processes content you transfer to its service under its own Privacy Policy and your TikTok settings. Other sharing destinations likewise process the content you send under their policies. Their processing may include storage outside your country as described in those policies. You can decline sharing and continue using your private wardrobe.

Export images remain in your photo library until you delete them in Photos, including if you cancel the TikTok handoff. If iCloud Photos is enabled, Apple may synchronize those images. Deleting a look or uninstalling Style Studio Closet does not delete exported Photos assets or copies already sent to TikTok or another destination. Manage those copies, posts, and deletion requests through the destination service.

Data Sharing

Style Studio Closet does not sell your personal data.

For app functionality other than user-initiated sharing, data may be processed by technical service providers needed for the selected functionality: Apple for purchases and optional iCloud synchronization, Supabase for the Style Studio backend and temporary private storage, and OpenAI, PhotoRoom, FASHN, or Fitroom where configured for the AI feature you request. We require service providers handling personal data on our behalf to provide privacy and security protections consistent with applicable law and our obligations to users.

Retention and Deletion

You can delete individual clothing and reference photos inside the app. Deleting the app removes its local data. To request deletion of backend support data associated with a support identifier, contact us at the address below.

Optional Pilot Programme and Usage Analytics

We offer up to 50 free pilot places. Access lasts until 42 days after your first app launch and includes a total of 30 virtual try-ons and 100 studio photos. There is no feedback requirement, automatic purchase or automatic conversion to a paid subscription. You can join without usage analytics and turn analytics off later without losing access until its original end date. A purchased subscription and your local wardrobe and saved looks are unaffected.

Access administration and AI allowances

To provide the pilot and enforce its duration and allowances, we process an installation-based pilot ID, a protected access credential (stored as a hash on the server), first-launch and participation dates, expiry, the applicable terms version, analytics preferences and their revision, and AI operation identifiers, features and processing status. These records are necessary to provide the requested pilot service under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Local access information is stored on your device, including protected Keychain storage, so reinstalling the app does not reset the pilot period or allowances.

We also retain technical AI usage and estimated-cost records to operate the service, check allowances and monitor provider expenses. Processing necessary for access and allowances is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR; limited cost monitoring and protection against misuse are based on our legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our interests are keeping the service reliable, controlling its operating costs and preventing repeated use beyond the agreed limits. These operational records are separate from optional product analytics and are not used for advertising.

What optional analytics collects

Only if you actively enable usage analytics, we collect days on which you use the app and counts of successfully added wardrobe items, saved and worn looks, and outfit-planning actions. Each event contains the pilot ID, a random event ID, event type, UTC calendar day and app version. The purpose is to evaluate adoption, repeated use and which features help pilot participants. We currently record one active-day event per day, rather than every app opening.

These analytics events do not contain photos, garment names, brands, chat text, notes or calendar contents. The persistent pilot ID allows events to be linked over time: the data is pseudonymous, not anonymous. We use it for internal evaluation and summaries, not for advertising, data brokerage or tracking across other apps and websites.

The legal basis for optional analytics is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, including consent for the associated storage/access on your device under Section 25(1) TDDDG. The analytics switch is initially off. You may refuse or withdraw consent in your profile at any time without losing pilot access. Withdrawal stops new events immediately on the device and discards unsent events. When the device next successfully contacts the backend, the withdrawal is applied and previously transmitted pilot analytics events are deleted. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing performed before it.

Recipients, retention and your choices

Pilot records are processed in our private Supabase backend, hosted in the EU (Ireland), and are accessible only to authorised service administration. Supabase acts as our technical processor; optional pilot analytics events are not sent to AI image or language-model providers. Using an AI feature separately sends the inputs needed for that feature as described above. Hosting support and subprocessors may involve processing outside the EEA. Supabase's Data Processing Addendum provides the applicable transfer safeguards, including EU Standard Contractual Clauses where required; its subprocessor list identifies the providers and processing locations.

While consent continues, pilot analytics events are deleted no later than 90 days after the original pilot end date. Pilot membership and AI allowance-operation records are also deleted by that deadline. Operational AI usage records for the pilot period have their installation-ID association removed by that deadline; remaining technical cost records are managed separately from pilot analytics. Locally stored access information may remain in protected Keychain storage after an uninstall to prevent the pilot period from being restarted. Contact us if you wish to exercise your rights concerning those records.

Under the applicable GDPR conditions, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction and portability of your personal data. You may object on grounds relating to your particular situation to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw analytics consent at any time. Contact support@loup-digital.com; we may need the app's installation or support identifier to locate your records. You may also complain to a supervisory authority, including the Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen.

Pilotprogramm und freiwillige Nutzungsanalyse – Deutsch

Der Zugang endet 42 Tage nach dem ersten App-Start und umfasst insgesamt 30 virtuelle Anproben und 100 Studiofotos. Es gibt keine Feedbackpflicht, keine automatischen Kosten und keinen automatischen Abschluss eines Abos. Du kannst ohne Nutzungsanalyse teilnehmen und sie später ausschalten; Pro bleibt bis zum ursprünglichen Enddatum bestehen. Gekaufte Abos und deine lokalen Kleidungsdaten bleiben unverändert.

Zugang und KI-Kontingente

Für Laufzeit und Kontingente verarbeiten wir eine installationsbezogene Pilot-ID, ein geschütztes Zugangstoken (serverseitig nur als Hash), Start-, Beitritts- und Ablaufdaten, die Bedingungsversion, Analysezustimmung samt Änderungsstand sowie Kennungen, Funktionen und Status von KI-Vorgängen. Rechtsgrundlage für die Bereitstellung des gewünschten Piloten und die Kontingentverwaltung ist Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO. Lokale Zugangsdaten einschließlich geschützter Keychain-Einträge verhindern, dass eine Neuinstallation Laufzeit oder Kontingente zurücksetzt.

Technische KI-Nutzungs- und Kostendaten dienen außerdem dem zuverlässigen Betrieb, der Kontrolle von Anbieterkosten und dem Schutz vor Missbrauch. Für notwendige Zugangs- und Kontingentverwaltung gilt Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO; begrenzte Kostenkontrolle und Missbrauchsschutz beruhen auf unseren berechtigten Interessen nach Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO. Diese Betriebsdaten sind von der freiwilligen Produktanalyse getrennt und werden nicht für Werbung verwendet.

Freiwillige Messung

Nur nach ausdrücklicher Zustimmung erfassen wir Nutzungstage und Zählwerte erfolgreich hinzugefügter Teile, gespeicherter und getragener Looks sowie Outfitplanungen. Ein Ereignis enthält Pilot-ID, zufällige Ereignis-ID, Ereignistyp, UTC-Kalendertag und App-Version. Damit werten wir Nutzung, Wiederkehr und Funktionen des Piloten aus. Wir zählen derzeit einen Nutzungstag pro Tag, nicht jede einzelne App-Öffnung. Fotos, Kleidungsnamen, Marken, Chattexte, Notizen und Kalenderinhalte sind nicht Teil dieser Analyseereignisse. Die Pilot-ID ermöglicht eine Zuordnung über die Zeit; die Daten sind pseudonym und nicht anonym. Kein Werbetracking, kein Datenverkauf und kein Abgleich mit anderen Apps oder Websites.

Rechtsgrundlage ist deine Einwilligung nach Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a DSGVO einschließlich der zugehörigen Speicherung beziehungsweise des Zugriffs auf dem Gerät nach § 25 Abs. 1 TDDDG. Der Schalter ist anfangs aus. Du kannst jederzeit im Profil widerrufen, ohne den Pilotzugang zu verlieren. Neue Ereignisse stoppen sofort lokal, ausstehende Ereignisse werden verworfen. Beim nächsten erfolgreichen Backendkontakt wird der Widerruf übertragen und bisher übertragene Pilotanalyseereignisse werden gelöscht. Die Rechtmäßigkeit der Verarbeitung vor dem Widerruf bleibt unberührt.

Empfänger, Speicherfristen und Rechte

Pilotdaten liegen in unserem privaten Supabase-Backend in der EU (Irland); nur autorisierte Administration hat Zugriff. Supabase ist technischer Auftragsverarbeiter. Pilotanalyseereignisse werden nicht an KI-Anbieter weitergegeben. Für gesondert verwendete KI-Funktionen gilt die oben beschriebene Verarbeitung der benötigten Eingaben. Support und Unterauftragsverarbeiter können Verarbeitung außerhalb des EWR einschließen. Die Supabase-Auftragsverarbeitungsvereinbarung enthält die anwendbaren Garantien einschließlich EU-Standardvertragsklauseln, soweit erforderlich; die Unterauftragsverarbeiterliste nennt Anbieter und Standorte.

Bei fortbestehender Zustimmung löschen wir Pilotanalyseereignisse spätestens 90 Tage nach dem ursprünglichen Pilotende. Bis dahin werden auch Pilotmitgliedschaft und KI-Kontingentvorgänge gelöscht; aus operativen KI-Nutzungsbuchungen des Pilotzeitraums wird die Installations-ID-Verknüpfung entfernt. Verbleibende technische Kostendaten werden getrennt von der Pilotanalyse verwaltet. Geschützte lokale Zugangsinformationen können auch nach Deinstallation in der Keychain verbleiben, damit die Pilotlaufzeit nicht neu beginnt.

Unter den gesetzlichen Voraussetzungen hast du Rechte auf Auskunft, Berichtigung, Löschung, Einschränkung und Datenübertragbarkeit. Einer Verarbeitung aufgrund berechtigter Interessen kannst du aus Gründen deiner besonderen Situation widersprechen; deine Analyseeinwilligung kannst du jederzeit widerrufen. Wende dich an support@loup-digital.com; zur Zuordnung benötigen wir gegebenenfalls die Installations- oder Supportkennung der App. Du kannst dich bei einer Datenschutzaufsichtsbehörde beschweren, insbesondere der LDI Nordrhein-Westfalen.

Style Studio Closet is not intended for children under 13.
